Asides the beauty of the season, there are a few other things I consider to be my favourite things about Christmas and the season.
This may sound so cliché, but the Christmas holiday is my favourite holiday. However, it could be my favourite holiday because we get two whole weeks off to celebrate the new year as well, or because my birthday falls somewhere in between. Pick your guess. Christmas is honestly an amazing time in the year because it connotes the end of a year and ushers us into a new year. While not everyone celebrates this holiday, it is a common holiday

Ready for my favourite things about Christmas?
Let’s get in.
The atmosphere first of feels like love all around. Every you go, it literally feels like you just walk into love. The streets are brightened with Christmas lights and the tress are just beautiful.
However, all these sounds very fancy, and though this is a small part of what makes Christmas my best holiday, Christmas is more than this to me. While Christmas is indeed a season to be jolly, it is also the season to reflect. Being the last month of the year, the Christmas holiday is the period to reflect on how the year has been. And that includes the good, bad, beautiful and ugly. Reflection does not happen only once a year, but I definitely encourage reflection this period because it helps you put the new year into good perspective.
Spending time with people that are important to you is another awesome favourite of mine in this season. Especially when everyone in the house now lives in different parts of the world, Christmas is the holiday that everyone shares and come together to celebrate.
Oh, the joy of gift giving and receiving.
I can’t even begin to describe my love for gifts. And when is the best time to receive gifts than Christmas? Well, technically, my birthday. This holiday gives me an excuse to receive gifts from anybody that is willing to give. It is also when my creative juice for gifts flow the best. I love giving gifts as much as I love giving gifts and the Christmas holiday is the perfect time for both. (PS. I expect my gifts from you all. Thank you in advance).
I enjoy receiving gifts because, well, that’s just me. But giving gifts is a way to put a smile on other people’s faces. And the whole point of Christmas was the gift of Christ to mankind. And this gift puts a smile on my face all the time. Giving gift helps me to truly enjoy this moment. If you haven’t tried it, you should this year and thank me later.
